CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
  • Hindi Pakhwada was celebrated from 14th Sept.2009 to 24th Sept. 2009. Following Programmes were organized in befitting manner.

a.       Hindi Diwas on 14th Sept.

b.      Story Telling Competition on 16th Sept.

c.       Poem Recitation Competition on 18th Sept.

d.      Group Song Competition on 22nd Sept.

e.       Debate Competition on 23rd Sept.

Under FulBright Scholarship Programme, Ms. Rachel (English Teacher) joined the Vidyalaya on 14th July 2009 for One month.  She is taking classes VII to X.

Ist Round of Inspection was done on 17th July 09 headed by Smt. Neelam Katara Education Officer KVS (DR) .

TECHNOTHOLON Exam (Guwahati IIT) was conducted on 19 July 09 for class IX to XII . 249 Students appeared.

On 18th & 19th April, 04 students and 01 teacher went to Nehru Planetarium for Solar Eclipse Workshop.

30 students along with two teachers attended a workshop at IIT Delhi,  on 18-04-09 , for developing scientific attitude among science students.

Vibhu Pareek was awarded 3rd Prize in Hindi Debate Competition on International Women’s

   Day i.e. 8th March 2009 .  

Students of classes X & XII have been issued Admit Card with Blessing from KVS Family.Farewell Party for class XII was organised by class XI students on 18-02-09.
National Science day was celebrated on 28th Feb 09. Students highlighted C.V.Raman’s achievements. They also showed some interesting experiments during the morning assembly.
Two students of class XI have been selected for Global Tobacco meet to be held in the month of March at Mumbai.
The School was venue for cluster level English Debate Competition on 19-02-09 which was Organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day’ . 34 students of different schools participated in the celebration.Two students of the school scored IInd Position and one scored IIIrd Position in the above said competition.
Salad Decoration & Flower Arrangement  Competition held  on 21-01-09. Students I participated very enthusiastically. Winners were announced on 22-01-09.
Human Rights Day was celebrated on 10th Dec'08 in Morning Assembly. Students prepared display boards showcasing Torch bearer's of Human Rights.
Fifty  Students of different classes visited Nehru Planetarium on 7th December 2008 to watch the   theater Show on Chandrayan   
Dr. Archana Sharma member CERN, Geneva visited the school on 10th Dec 08 for a workshop cum interactive session and addressed the students on the topic Nuclear Physics.  
Two Students of class XII participated in IRIS National Science Fair Exhibition. There Project “Compound Microscope” made by Fuse Bulbs was selected in the First Level at School. It was also selected at Regional Level at KV JNU. It was also selected in IRIS Exhibition Level. Now it participating in the IV level at IRIS in Kolkata at 3rd Dec.2008 to 6th Dec.2008. .
Mr. R.K.Das of Indian Defence Estate Services (Retired) gave a talk to the students of class IX &  XI on Time Management & Motivation on 15th December 08 on the Occasion of KVS Foundation Day.
Carrier Counseling Workshop was conducted by Air Hostess Academy for the students of XI &  XII  on 15th December 08.
 On the Occasion of the KVS Foundation Day Primary Section of the School Celebrated it as Grand  Parents Day.  A large no. of Grandparents participated in the colourful programme
Maths Olympiad Exam was conducted on 18th Dec 08 in which  31 students participated.
 Dr. Archana Sharma will be visiting KVMM on 10-12-2008

Dr. Archana Sharma an Indian physicist born in Aligarh (UP) .She has been working on detector development for instrumentation of experiments
at the Large Hadron Collider. She is on the advisory committee of several international scientific committees and writes a weekly column about News from her experiment.

She is well known for her efforts to involve students, especially from
non-European nations in CERN scientific activities. In this context she has interacted frequently with physicists, administators at universities and institutes and ministers of funding agencies a from a wide variety of countries, ranging from major CERN partners like the United States, Russia, South Korea, Canada, India, China, Columbia, Iran, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and others. These interactions have fostered the international
character of the CERN student body and creating a wide network of possibilities all around the world.

 

WORLD AIDS DAY – 1ST DEC. 2008World AIDS Day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya on 1st December 2008 with Zeal and enthusiasm .There was an awareness programme for the students. Mr. Narender Kumar commenced the Programme with a speech on H.I.V Positive /AIDS. A Skit “Life is short, don’t make it shorter, it is beautiful”. Was presented by the Volunteers of N.S.S. They focused on how AIDS spreads and what are the myths about AIDS. They also showed the banners to the spectators like – “ERADICATE AIDS SAVE LIFE”-“FIGHT AGAINST H.I.V” and “SAFETY SAVES”.  

The National Education Day was celebrated at Kendriya Vidyalaya Masjid Moth on 11 November, 2008 with solemn gaiety and fervor.The programme began with the arrival of the chief guest, Dr.Zubair Meenai, Professor Social work, Jamia Millia Islamia.After garlanding the portrait of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Kajal of VII threw light on the life and achievements of Maulana Abul Kalam.Subarno of VII recited a poem on the significance of Education .This was followed by an Inter House debate

Students of IX & XI Classes celebrated National Educational Day on 11th Nov. 2008 by attending function at Vigyan Bhawan.

Exhibition cum sale of Books by National Book Trust from 15th Nov. 2008 to 30th Nov. 2008 . About 1000 Books were on display on various Topics.

Science & Mathematics Olympiad will be conducted on 20th Nov. 2008 organized by science Olympiad foundation Delhi Classes VI to XI students took the test

 Nation standard Examination by Indian Association of Physics Teachers in the Subjects Junior Science, Junior and Senior Astronomy, Physics and Chemistry Olympiad examination on 23rd Nov. 2008 . 70 students appeared in  the Examination.

School level Vocabulary Test organized by Mother Dairy was conducted in the school on 11th November 2008 in which  120 students of classes VI to XI  participated

Padam Shree  awardee  Dr. Shyam Singh Rtd. Director General from Publication Division was invited as  Chief guest  on 30 Sept. 2008 for the Velidictory Function of Hindi Pakhwada to address  the students.
Mother-Daughter Health & Hygine and personality development programme conducted for girls of Class – VII & VIII. The programme was conducted by Proctor & Gamble
8 Students of the School Participated in “Inquizitive” annual School Quiz organize by HT Pace at Sirifort  Auditorium on 15th Sept. 2008 .
Hindi Pakhwara from 14th Sept to 30th Sept.2008. Dr. Manju Dhawan Lecturer of Gargi College inaugurated the function on 15th Sept. 2008.

Students of class VIII Visited Science centre duly escorted by Teachers on 1 sept.2008
National Geographic channel presented film show on various topics like future of our planet, rising temperature, state of our planet, our waste on 18-08-08 for classes VII & IX.
Mr. Nitin Ranjan & Mr.S.K.Shahi from centre for social responsibility & leadership presented a documentary on Global warming. This Awareness programme was sponsored by HPCL and held on 11th Aug 2008 for students of class XI. At the end of the programme a quiz was conducted & prizes were distributed.
Career counseling programme on 8th Aug.2008 by Mrs. Kanika Chawla. The group oriented from Air Hostess Academy Pvt. Ltd explained scope in Aviation & Hospitality industries. She introduced airport & in-flight programme. She  also enlighted students on  placement & high salaries. This programme was conducted for Classes XI & XII.
Full Bright Teacher Programme- Mrs. Delores Maxen joined KVMM on 14th July 2008 under summer  Teacher’s Exchange Programme sponsored by Corporative Agency Abroad United States, Education Founded in India Full Bright House New Delhi.   

Mrs. Dr. Kalpana Sharma Director Amity School, Amity University Noida was invited for guest lecture on Sport Science during the Morning Assembly. Students of Class VI to XII attended this lecture. The slogan Fit Citizen, Fit Nation  was highlighted. Students were educated to reduce intake Junk Food by 50%, enjoy exercise, and take Physical Education as a carrier. Mrs. Kalpana Sharma has done her Masters, M.Phil and Doctorate in Physical Education. She is one of the member on the panel of teachers for giving accreditation to the colleges.
English Poem Recitation On 26th July'08 English Poem Recitation competition was organised for secondary and senior secondary classes.
Cluster Level Hindi Debate competition, organised on 25th Feb'2008. 
On topic "Gender based Reservations will retard the progress of the country"
Thinking Day, 22nd Feb'2008 observed as Thinking Day, in memoriam of Birthday of Lord and Lady Baden Powell; The founder of Scouts & Guides. Scouts and Guides presented small function in morning assembly. The day was observed with full enthusiasm in Primary section too.
House Meetings help in not only in the selection of House captain and prefects but also to identify talent, to motivate students to participate.
Class Display Board Competition: The themes were given to the class in every term, which have been categorized in three groups-VI to VII, VIII to X and XI & XII and judgment was done and the winning class was given Gold, Silver and Bronze stars at I , II, III position respectively.
Inter House Board Competition: Thrice a year the themes are given and the houses participate with great enthusiasm in decorating the boards.Few themes covered in the year were ‘Disaster Management’. ‘Deforestation and Aforestation’
Other Competitions : Interhouse competitions like Rangoli, Greeting card, Essay writing (Hindi), Calligraphy in Hindi and English, poem recitation, declamation, Debate, Hindi Quiz, Science Quiz, Rakhi making, Slogan writing, painting, Fancy Dress, flower decoration and Salad making were conducted and the marks for different positions are added to the respective house for the final shield.
The Raj Bhasha Hindi Samiti of the Vidyalaya is actively involved in promoting Hindi under the guidance of the Principal.
"JAGRUKTA Rally"- To sensitize the masses, Primary children organised a rally on 6th Nov,2007 giving the key messages:
  • Anti-Cracker campaign.
  • Pollution control, by celebrating Eco-Friendly Diwali.
  • Clean and Green Environment.

 

At the school level students have been distributed into four houses- Shivaji, Tagore, Ashoka and Raman.Interhouse and interclass competitions were held as per the schedule given in the student’s diary
EXHIBITIONS

Final Result (IInd Face) Regional Social Science Competition

Social Science Exhibition, was organized by KVS to promote learning by doing on 13-08-08.
Students participated in different competitions like preparing exhibits for state Bihar and France, folk dance, group song, English & Hindi Debate and Quiz competition.
Ploton Missile, Nuclear Power Plant of France & Eiffel Tower , chart related to France were selected for Regional Level.

CLUBS
To tap the talent of students in various domains the Clubs have been formed, where students with the guidance from teachers carry out activities of their interest

Four Students went to Nehru Planetarium on 25th August 2008 to Participate in Annual Astronomy Quiz Contest.

Environment and Science Club
The members of the club actively worked towards creating a pollution free environment.Before Diwali, Anti cracker campaign was carried out by putting posters in the school, staging a small skit on the effects of crackers.

Earth Day and Van mahotasav days were celebrated by Tree plantation drive in the school premises

Students participated in the Green Olympiad organized by Terri and received certificates of appreciation

The club took a project of labeling all trees and plants in the school premises as the maintenance of the garden comes under their responsibility.
